My mom always tells about her aunt being ahead of her time as a business woman and entrepreneur. Her dream was to make a beauty empire out of her natural skincare recipes. While she set out to it, the empire was not to be be cause she did not want to compromise on ingredients for mass production. My cousin recently found the book of skincare recipes, and I want to surprise mom with a gift basket of them. Like my great aunt, I want nothing but the best for our skin, since it is the largest organ we have, and the one we use to put our best face forward :-). This is why I have chosen #DonVictor Honey, made in the USA, for my DIY skincare project. I am so excited to share Honey Bath Melts and a Purifying Honey Facial Scrub with you. It is all about #HoneyforHolidays with #CollectiveBias!
As I read the skincare recipe book, I see that the annotations explain how honey truly is a great ingredient for the skin. Mom’s aunt research says that honey is.
- a powerful natural antioxidant, it delays aging, slows it down
- a great moisturizer that soothes as it creates an amazing natural glow
- honey is a natural antiseptic and antibacterial which mean that it helps combat and prevent acne.
- honey clarifies the skin as it helps pores open and unclog naturally
As a natural humectant that heals and soothes it ultimately improves the appearance of your skin as it cares for it. Who wouldn’t want this for the holidays if they are on Santa’s “nice” list?
These are simple, scrumptious products that you will do wonders for your skin. The added bonus is that they become and indulgent luxurious ritual
When I start working with Don Victor Honey, the first thing that disappears is the honeycomb. I can’t resists it! Once I take care of it, I can truly get to work on my gift sets. My favorite really are the Bath Melts. It is the perfect excuse for the scarce “Me Time”. It is so simple to make these DIY Bath Melts with Honey, it is almost sinful not to make them.
Combined to the power of Honey we add Lavender to calm and relax and cocoa butter to moisturize.
This is what it looks like as you pour slowly batches into your mold. The white looking one were the first ones poured in. You will end up with cream looking melts
They come out so adorable and delightful, I can’t resist to spread the joy and gift them as well. There are different fabulous ways to present them as gifts. I have used little it pails. small cutting boards, and glass jars to offer them out. Remember though that they do not withstand intense heat. I love how these bath melts truly are a one of a kind gift: no two melts ever comes our the same. You can see how the honey takes different forms and shapes, making each star unique:
Now, on to the simplest, most effective facial scrub you will ever have! The scrub is so simple it will take you less that five minute to put together. For this you will need 3 ingredients:
I ran out of cinnamon powder so instead I got extra help from the line of Don Victor Honey which offers a Whipped Honey with Cinnamon. Just perfect! I have to tell you that I am using the Whipped Honey with Caramel in my coffee every morning. On its own, we are spooning out quickly from the jar the Don Victor Whipped Honey with Chocolate. We are also icing out cookies with them! All three of these are great products that you have to tray out.
Decadent bath melts with honey and luscious honey scrub plus a delicious jar of Don Victor honey will go into my homemade pampering gift. All I need is some red ribbon and crystal paper! Would you like getting this gift basket?
Next DIY will be trying out the Don Victor Extra Virgen Olive Oil for some hair products on the book.
