Here are two products I never thought I would use living in South Florida. But, I do use them 🙂 I am talking about Honeywell Heat Bud a ceramic personal heater and MistMate a cool mist humidifier. Now I know you are thinking I am out of my mind to say I use these products but read on and see why I am happy Honeywell has sponsored this post for me to share my use tips for both Heat Bud and Mistmate by Honeywell.
Let’s start off with the Heat Bud. It is an electronic ceramic personal heater. It is extremely simple to use: simply connect it and choose one of the settings (high or low) and let it warm you up. Our cold days are very numbered in Florida. Because of it, when the temperatures drop a bit say to 68 degrees, boots and jackets are being dusted off. Most of us don’t want to turn on the heater for the whole house until temperatures hit 60 degrees, so this personal heater comes in very handy. I use it for my home office and it does its job silently, giving me no excuses to get up because I am cold. As a matter of fact, I also use this personal heater at corporate offices where the A/C is always at full blast. I do this when I do have an office. Keep in mind that this is intended for home use. So, for it to be effective it needs to be a relatively small space. On rainy days the A/C seems to blow even cooler, so the Heat Bud is perfect to keep us comfortable and not feeling like penguins in an office trying to get work done.
It is very compact. As you can see from the image, it discreetly fits in a small area, so it will be easy to incorporate to the items on your desk, for example
On those days that we do need to put the heater on, we also bring out the Honeywell MistMate cool mist humidifier just about everywhere . it needs no filter and it is easy to carry thanks to its compact size. It has been in action with us for 2-3 overnight uses, and requires a weekly cleaning which is quite simple to do with the instructions the box includes. Another great plus for me is that is does not require filters to operate!!
I love its shape and how portable the unit is. When the water runs out the humidifier shuts down on its own, so we don’t have to babysit it. It is very quiet and emits a soft hum which actually soothes the baby to sleep. From time to time there is a slight bubble noise as well. I was impressed when I discovered that the humidifier helps reduce static electricity and actually helps keep plants healthier!
We are planning a mini vacation to enjoy some snow soon, and I know these two items will be in my carry on for sure!
Do you already use any of these two Honeywell products?
