Honestly I am not ready to let summer go just yet. We have enjoyed ourselves very much and the back to school mad dash is not really appealing to my beach bum brain right now. But, in no time we will be back to the routine, and this mom taxi will be busy driving from soccer practice to music recitals, tutoring and the grocery store. Still in summer mood, we planned for a last vacation getaway, and we drove to our beachy Florida destination in Mitsubishi Lancer style. Get ready because The Mitsubishi Lancer Pumps Up Your Vacation
In relax, cool, chill mode, my mom antennae are always on, so I was all smiles when I found out the Mitsubishi Lancer is a 2015 Top Safety Pick* in its class. Then I realized the brand is so confident in this car that its limited warranty is 10 year or 100,000 miles. I was blown away! I had never seen anything past 5 years, so this is a big checkered win flag in my mom book. Of course, just like the Mirage and the Outlander, the Lancer also boasts 7 airbags including my favorite; the knee airbag for the driver. Mitsubishi thinks of every detail for us.
Once I loaded three kids (two in car seats), filled up the trunk with our luggage and beach bags, toys, chairs and tent I realized that the car not only looks spacious it is generous with its trunk and seating capacity. We were very comfortable and ready with all what we needed. No need to sacrifice and leave our favorite beach cooler behind.
The ride was smooth as can be to our destination. I have to tell you we were all blown away by the fact that the Lancer features a subwoofer in the trunk. Let me assure you we put the entire sound system to the test with all genres of music and our ears were in heaven, as were our fingers with the touch audio panel system. By the way this panel has a big 6 inch screen so it is very easy to read too. Amazing sound and fun addition with all that pump the subwoofer gives the 9 speakers throughout the Lancer!
Being able to use the remote key-less entry gave me one less thing to juggle, and I do give many cool flip flop points for that. I give out as many cool drink umbrella points to the lancer for its super refreshing and powerful A/C. Living in South Florida, you better believe we are very critical and discerning about A/Cs. This one gets our two thumbs up easily.
Here is a confession: Our body boarding boards are all in one piece because I saw no one loaded them in the trunk right before I reversed out of our parking space thanks to the wide -angled rear view camera. Here I have to give out maximum chill sunglasses points to Mitsubishi for giving me self-confidence and more safety while driving.
That is a lot of flip flop, umbrellas and sunglasses points given out to a single car, don’t you think?
Filled with smiles, good times, happy hearts and amazing memories we drove over 300 miles with almost one tank of gas safely and comfortably. It is a pleasure to drive this car that is loaded with standard features which made life for me, well, cool and chill 🙂
Have you driven a Lancer lately? Go start your Mitsubishi love affair!
*To qualify for 2015 TOP SAFETY PICK, a vehicle must earn good ratings in the moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint tests, as well as a good or acceptable rating in the small overlap front test.

Yeah, I know what you mean about being a taxi! I like the spacious trunk! That’s something I always need. It looks roomy for a sadan.

Can’t believe you fit all that in the trunk. That’s the one thing we always look at when we get a car, we drive to the beach every summer and we like to bring everything but the kitchen sink. The camera is a big plus too. Love it.

I love Lancers, though I don’t think I’ll ever buy one. I prefer SUVs because of the size of our family. Beautiful car though, thank you for sharing! 🙂
