On most days my mom-morning duties give me very little time for me to indulge in a relaxing breakfast. Honestly, it doesn’t bother me one bit because I do have a great recipe that transports me to a very happy place. My Delicious Avocado Orange Smoothie with a hint of mint gives me the nutrition and energy I need to get my morning going.
Let’s get right to it with this recipe. My friends are actually pleasantly surprised when they taste it. I hope it will be the same for you. Here is how you make an Avocado Orange Smoothie with a hint of mint.
- 1 glass of milk (8oz)
- 1 Haas avocado
- 1/2 orange
- Mint leaves
- Honey to taste
- 1/4 banana
- 1- Peel the orange and remove all seeds, and place it in a blender cup
- 2- Halve the avocado and scoop it out into the blender cup
- 3- Add your 8 ounce glass of milk, banana, honey and mint leaves to blender cup
- 4- Puree or liquefy the fruits to get a creamy semi thick mixture.
- 5- Garnish with some mint and enjoy!
- If you want a less thick smoothie, just add some more milk.
- I prefer using my hand blender just because I am lazy to wash the blades of the blender 🙂
This Avocado Orange Mint smoothie is actually a great way for me to get a delicious high- quality protein intake before midday thanks to the milk in it. That is important for my well-being because milk has 9 essential nutrients including (8 grams of protein) in every 8oz. glass. In other words, drinking milk I am caring from just about everything from muscles to hair, bones to teeth. Bottom line, our bodies need protein to be strong and healthy. You know what else I love about including milk in my morning? It keeps me on track with my healthy eating routine because it keeps me feeling fuller for a longer period of time. Yay!
Getting that protein-packed breakfast or mid-morning snack is easy and delicious when you make sure to include 8ounces of milk which delivers as well 8 other nutrients we all need like calcium, vitamin D and potassium.
I am very excited to see milk supporting not only my health but amazing talented athletes that we will most definitely be cheering for. See what Danell Leyva and his father, who is also his trainer share about Somos Fuertes – we are strong.
Time to get stronger! Ready to try out my Avocado Orange Smoothie? I would love to know what you think of it. Cheers to your health!
