Wash Your hands Often
Make sure you and your family stick to the habit of washing your hand often, especially after using public restrooms, touch things like handles in public spaces, share toys or pens.
Rest and get enough sleep:
Did you know your immune system needs you to sleep and rest enough to be effective in protecting you? Yes, less than seven hours of sleep might put you at a disadvantage to fight off bacteria, viruses, germs because your killer T-cells decrease. Get your zzzz’s.
Keep your zen:
Stress can lend a hand in getting you sick. Emotions like anger, stress, or sadness can bring your mood down and could potentially lower your defenses because stress cuts into your levels of cortisone which hinders your immune system. Keep cool, chill and zen.
Exercise:
Another sure way to help keep your immune system in top condition and ready to protect you is by exercising. It might still be cold in your neck of the woods but find an activity and get active!
Drink up
Stay hydrated with lots of water. Remember eight 8 ounce glasses of water is the daily recommendation. Your You body becomes less able to fight germs and viruses if you are dehydrated.

Gosh – we buy Kleenex brand all the time, but somehow I managed to miss the Anti-Viral Tissues. I’ve got to make my husband keep a box or two of these in his office. He is always bringing home something and I am the one that ends up the sickest!

I had no idea that there were anti-viral Kleenexes! I will definitely be picking up some of these on my next trip to Wal-Mart as there are some nasty viruses currently making the rounds here in MN and I don’t have the time or the desire to catch them! Your other tips are great as well and I do most of them though I need to be better about hydrating and exercising regularly!
