I can’t sing to save my life, a couple of my family members are very musical. If there is not some instrument practice going on, I can hear someone singing. Even I have found myself singing in the shower from time to time. So, we decided on a family karaoke night. I love the idea because it can be easily implemented for hours of fun. Additionally, it can be done inside or in your backyard. Here are 4 Tips For A Karaoke Night at Home. Get ready for great family fun!
4 Tips For A Karaoke Night at Home
1. Props:
Get everyone in character with fun gear. Have something sparkly? Bring it out! Think about things like sunglasses, hats and why not boa feathers? For a stage, we are just hanging a fabric on the wall that will be behind singers.
2. Equipment:
Many of us are not karaoke pros, and the equipment could run pretty high. Nevertheless, you can use an app like Karaoke Anywhere. It is free and simple to connect to your TV! Do test it before you start your night.
3. Music instruments:
Raid the kids’ toy box if you don’t have any. Maracas and tambourines will do the trick. Ideal to enhance performances, support the shy singers or boost up those whose singing is less than stellar. Yes, I use all the instruments when I sing ๐
4. Use familiar songs:
It gives singers confidence. To do this and guarantee I have the perfect playlist I use the movie Sing. We love the movie and the songs featured. Sing’s soundtrack gives us the perfect singing list for our Karaoke Night at Home!
While you are making a fun family night out of your cool Karaoke night at home, some can still be shy. Encourage them with the props, and setting the mood as much as you can. If on the contrary, you have stars and starlets in the making, try vamping up with a stage! They will most definitively appreciate that!
