We were invited to the Peter Rabbit press junket. All opinions are 100% my own.
Peter Rabbit is at Build-A-Bear and he is beyond cute! While we covered the Peter Rabbit press junket in Los Angeles last week, we discovered two things that had our hearts full. Of course, the movie itself manages that. But additionally, I was touched by the #BlueJacket initiative and was all smiles during and after our beautiful Build-A-Bear experience. Yes, we got to choose, build and dress our very own Peter Rabbit! It was fantastic, and now my son is very serious about my Peter Rabbit “grandson”.
Visiting Build-A-Bear
I confess I had never gone to Build-A-Bear with my son. We were seriously missing out. It is a very special experience that teaches kids a lot. If you have curious one like mine, it is great to find out how stuffed animal toys are put together. It also fosters creativity, love, and empathy. Plus it is hands down tons of fun. When you get to Build-A-Bear you get to choose the furry friend you want. Then you help bring it to life by stuffing it, dressing it and registering it. This last step really amplified it all for my munchkin and gave him a huge sense of accomplishment and responsibility.
Peter Rabbit Is At Build-A-Bear!
Peter Rabbit Build-A-Bear style is absolutely lovable and cuddly. The first thing we did was give a voice to our Peter RAbbit inserting a small device pre-recorded with 5 different Peter Rabbit phrases straight out of the movie, like “Has anyone seen Mr. McGregor?”. Next, we stuffed Peter Rabbit and gave him his heart with a sweet verse to do it:
Finally, it was off to dressing him. You can pick from his signature Blue Jacket of some very cute PJs. This Peter Rabbit is very soft and snuggly!
About The Peter Rabbit Movie
James Corden is PeterRabbit, the mischievous and adventurous hero who has captivated generations of readers now takes on the starring role of his own irreverent, contemporary comedy with attitude.
In the film, Peter‘s feud with Mr. McGregor (Domhnall Gleeson) escalates to greater heights than ever before as they rival for the affections of the warm-hearted animal lover who lives next door (Rose Byrne). James Corden voices the character of Peter with playful spirit and wild charm, with Margot Robbie, Elizabeth Debicki, and Daisy Ridley performing the voice roles of the triplets, Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cottontail. In theaters everywhere on February 9th.

I’d never heard of Build-A-Bear before but it turns out that they actually do have stores here in the UK. Love the idea and seeing an author from my childhood – Beatrix Potter still being relevant is brilliant.
