About The Peter Rabbit Movie
The movie is a combination of live-action and animation which works really well in bringing to life the classic tale.
James Corden is PeterRabbit, the mischievous and adventurous hero who has captivated generations of readers now takes on the starring role of his own irreverent, contemporary comedy with attitude.
In the film, Peter‘s feud with Mr. McGregor (Domhnall Gleeson) escalates to greater heights than ever before as they rival for the affections of the warm-hearted animal lover who lives next door (Rose Byrne). James Corden voices the character of Peter with playful spirit and wild charm, with Margot Robbie, Elizabeth Debicki, and Daisy Ridley performing the voice roles of the triplets, Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cottontail.
Our Take on Peter Rabbit
Full of heart, Peter Rabbit is utterly funny. My favorite part while watching Peter Rabbit was hearing the kids laughing loudly for 90% of the movie. Frankly, it was not just the kids laughing hard. At times, there is some gasping for the slapstick moments. Everyone really gets into the film. A light heads up: there are a couple of sad instances, but nothing my sensitive little one couldn’t handle. The film is hilarious, heartwarming and simply fun to watch.
The Peter Rabbit That Sticks
I was beyond happy to have experienced the Peter Rabbit press junket with my little man. After it has somewhat settled (we are still on cloud 9) these are his takeaways on the movie:
- Mr.McGregor is his favorite character. I thought it would be because Domhall Gleeson gets thrown around a whole lot. But, no. He loves him because he is utterly funny, and munchkin appreciated the evolution of the character (not saying any more here)
- He agrees with James Corden’s son who learned from the movie that everyone makes mistakes. The important thing is how you handle those mistakes and who you become after having faced them.
- Family is everything
- We can all live together in harmony
- He looks forward to having a BFF who is like cousin Benjamin: loyal, trusting and supportive.
As you can see there are plenty of teachable moments amidst all the fun and giggle you will have!
