Get the Kids ready! Nick Jr. Pop stars The Fresh Beat Band comes rolling into the intimate Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theatre on Saturday, December 14th, 2013 / 4PM. Tickets are on sale Saturday, April 20TH / 10AM.
The Fresh Beat Band is a children’s pop quartet and the stars of their own Nick Jr. television series. In a nutshell, the show is a group of four unique individuals working together to solve a problem they are facing that particular day. The 30 minute episodes contain comedy, music & singing, problem solving and more. The group features Twist, a DJ, violinist and guitarist Kiki, keyboard player Shout, and drummer Marina. The cast is a lively group that can dance and act and is also great live in concert. The show was created by Scott Kraft and Nadine van der Velde, and premiered on Nick Jr. From the beginning, the show included a lot of original songs sung by the band such as “Great Day,” “Here We Go,” “A Friend Like You,” and “Just Like a Rockstar,” all included on their first album, 2011’s The Fresh Beat Band: Music from the Hit TV Show. The album peaked inside the Top 25 of the Billboard albums chart and prompted a successor, 2012’s The Fresh Beat Band: More Music from the Hit TV Show, Vol. 2.0.
