Last week we celebrated Veterans’ Day, and our little ones were very interested in the meaning of the holiday. We explained how on this day we celebrate those who have and are, our nation’s heroes among us.
As we go forward on the holiday calendar, Thanksgiving in sight. So, this week we focused on the meaning of being thankful, and counting our blessings as we help others.
As we begun finding a project for school, our elder munchkin suggested we showed how thankful we are to our armed forces. What a great idea! Perfect way to connect holidays too 🙂
Not much, but definitively, out they go full of our gratitude and with our prayers for your safe return, as well as for the strength and happiness of your families.
We hope you enjoy our care packs and letter 🙂

Telling our kids about the special holidays we have could help them learn about our country more and what’s its value with the culture they
Men and women in the military, veterans, and servicemen deserve our gratitude. I love the drawing.
What a beautiful post, we are thankful for our military families as well. We are getting ready to bake up some goodies to send over seas to make sure they have things to celebrate.
I LOVE that you sent care packs to our military. What a great idea for a Thanksgiving project! how school is doing this for Christmas
That’s sweet 🙂 I’m sure many people are thankful to those soldiers who fight for their country.
It is important to appreciate our veterans because the veteras and their families do jobs that keep us safe, secure and living the lives we want to live.
It is funny at how I am thinking of the same thing. Thankful for the soldiers who gave their lives for the country’s Freedom. My kids and I watch this show called Liberty’s Kids and I am so grateful for the brave men and women who fought and are fighting for this country. Without them, it won’t be America the way it is. Thank you! I wish we could do something too for them. I was thinking too about firefighters and the police and told my son if he would help me whip up some baked goodies to give away. It is the least we could do. That is so nice of you guys to do that.
This is fabulous that you teach your children about the significance behind the holiday followed by an act of gratitude to the active duty personnel. Love the creative letter! 🙂
