Because we are blessed live in a fabulous place where we can choose to be beach bums, bird watchers, mosquito swaters (even if politically incorrect for this post), sunset admirers, iguana and lizard feeders and alligator neighbors among other things, we want to take the next two weeks to celebrate Earth day.
We will do that talking about green products, showcasing our nature snapshots and giving a few tips to enjoy what mother nature has to offer.
It is our small contribution to making an effort to take those small steps everyday that will help protect and conserve our planet.
We hope you join in in the celebration with us, and enjoy what we will be sharing.
We are sure you have much to celebrate from mother nature in your area too, so we encourage you to jump in and share what you enjoy or admire most of the place you live in connection to Earth Day coming up this April 23rd. Feel shy about uploading your own stuff? Send us an e-mail with it, and we will make sure to feature you and of course give due credit to you.

It is becoming more and more important that we conserve our planet. I am becoming greener by the day..
It’s so important to raise awareness about taking care of our planet. Earth Day should be every single day.
Will mark our calendar! Nothing is more important than saving our planet!
We used to go to our local park and the kids had to pick up 10 pieces of trash before they were allowed to play. One day my youngest picked up a bong and that ended that tradition. I am trying to find a new one, I just hope the parks in our new home town do not contain items like that.
We don’t do much for earth day that we don’t do everyday, you know? I would love to plant a garden or something, but we don’t have the yard for it, so we will just carry on with our recycling and composting 🙂
I live close to the lake and enjoy being so close to nature. It really is a great feeling (Kim)
Great idea, the apartment complex I live in is set in forest like setting and there’s birds, bunnies, turkey’s, deer and frogs as well as other type of wild life yet I’m in a small town/city It has been great living in these apartments. I love green products infact I got a review to do on a sanitizer that is non toxic ect it’s a cool spray. I love green products
I can’t wait to see what else you share with us for Earth Day. I love using green products. It makes me feel better about not polluting everything.
I try and do my part but I know we can always do more. We live in a very large city and we do all the recycling and composting that we can. We also had a new law in effect this past Jan where no more plastic bags at checkout. You have to bring your own bags or buy paper.
I love finding new ways to be green and help the planet. I do what I can now but I know that there is so much more. I can’t wait to read more of your Earth Day posts..
I try really hard to be greener in my home. My kids are more so than I am to be honest
I am glad people are trying to find more ways to be “green”. Sometimes its hard and some things are easy. Every little bit helps!
It’s very important for everyone to contribute in some way every day, not just on Earth Day.
It is becoming a must that we conserve our planet. I am trying to be greener by the day..
I think Earth Day is such a great idea – hopefully it gets people thinking more about the impact we each make. x
Great reminder! I don’t have anything on being green to link up, unfortunately. I need to get better at that 🙁
What a great reminder. I think I will intentionally reuse and repurpose things I would normally just throw away.
I am trying to buy things with less packaging. It’s such a disgrace how many things just get thrown away.
We do our best to be green by recycling. I got everyone involved and my son loves helping out!
Thanks for letting us know! 😀
Ah, the picture. We used to have an alligator on campus where I worked. He’d come out every day about 4ish or so to get his/her? daily sun. 🙂
Over the weekend my family was headed to an Egg Hunt and when I got out of the car, I saw a snake. OH my gosh was I freaked out, but I asked my husband to move the car a little so the snake could go into the woods safely. 🙂 Win 1 for the snake!
I know it may not seem like much, but we are going to see DisneyNature Bears earth day weekend. They will give the sales to the foundation and I think that is so important.
We all need to do our part, definitely! Amber N
It is really important to be conscious of the choices we have control over. Looking forward to your posts.
I really like this post and the reminder. I try to tell myself just by doing one thing a year I can improve. I recycle and I never use to do that before. I love how you are raising awareness.
