The second installment of the animated film Train Your Dragon 2 is coming to theaters June 13th! We went to watch and advance screening and the entire family categorized it as adventurous fun!
Really the movie is a lot more than just that.
We are very excited to tell you about the film, a fun adventure for the summer activities list!

While Astrid, Snoutlout and the rest of the gang are challenging each other to dragon races (the island’s new favorite contact sport), the now inseparable pair journey through the skies, charting unmapped territories and exploring new worlds. When one of their adventures leads to the discovery of a secret ice cave that is home to hundreds of new wild dragons and the mysterious Dragon Rider, the two friends find themselves at the center of a battle to protect the peace. If you are planning in going with little ones , you might want to talk to them before hand specially if they are sensitive as there are more than two moments where kiddos can be really affected. If they scare easily, talk to them in advance about dragons flying at them because half the action is watching dragon flying in every direction including right at you 🙂
Our smallest moviegoer was also a bit bothered by all the great effects of rushing racing dragons coming at you thanks to amazing special effects. Our eldest was affected by the (spoiler alert!) reunion of Hiccup and his mom, and couldn’t fathom so many years apart from each other.

Overall, it is for us a story of courage, rising up to the occasion and going after our conviction with friends and family at our side.
Beautiful artwork and colorful scenes dominate the scenery and the story. The dominant factor for me was the action and bravery. I loved the excitement of flying and appreciated the love for flying by these two very good friends Hiccup and toothless.
I am sure you have already watched How to train Your Dragon 1. The good thing of the second installment is that you can really get into the film with no in depth need to know about the first part although it is a logical continuation of it.

I am making plans to see the movie again to take in once again the beauty of the story and the actual film.
