Thanks to Tylenol we are bringing to you a topic we did not know about, and now want to spread the news on.
Always on the go, always moving, bending, jumping, reaching and contorting for our kids our mom backs suffer much. Injuries, exercising and other factors can also be the culprits of back pain. I can say from experience, motherhood has given my back pain. It is minor, but it is there, and I never had it before.
Truth of the matter is no one wants to endure any type of pain. Particularly, as parents, back pain can be a big block in the way of our mom routines, needs, or the way we just enjoy time with our families. I want to rid myself from pain quick, and for that I trust Tylenol. It does contain Acetaminophen. I never thought about its contents. I just took it and was happy to have my pain disappear.
Tylenol is not the only medication to contain Acetaminophen. Actually over 600 OTC or over the counter drugs contain it too. Here is where it gets important to have information: an ingesting Acetaminophen at an excess of one dose a day can hinder your liver. Not knowing can have critical consequences.

The longer we live with our back pain, the more we get to know it: what movements we can tolerate, what activities we can do, and how far we can go. We can also quickly determine what works best to manage, control or dissipate our pain. What if you need more help? What is you are treating pain and something else?
A key point to always consider is that regardless of how well we know our pain, if we use Acetaminophen to deal with our back pain, we truly need to keep in mind this message as we take steps to relieve our back pain: take only one medicine at a time containing acetaminophen.
Moms know that back pain can start before kids arrive. During pregnancy changes in our bodies start early on to set us on a path to quell pains. The first trimester seems to call for pressure headaches. Relief usually is granted by taking Acetaminophen, as indicated by doctors. As pregnancy progresses, it is all about the back pain. Yes, you are getting ready for labor, and your body keeps changing, plus it has been a while that you are carrying extra weight that adds on every month. Again, Acetaminophen is usually the way to ease the pain. From there on, you are bending to pick up your new born more than you ever bent before. You are constantly crouching or getting down to baby’s level as she starts crawling, walking and as you have to start admonishing. Constantly your back is working over time. You bend over, pick up baby and go about you day using your back as support. No wonder we have these back pains!
We have no time to loose, and can’t let our pains slow us down.
As we live with our back pain, we start to learn about it, and how to manage it. Just never forget the rule Tylenol brings to the forefront for us – only one medication with Acetaminophen at a time. You can visit a specific website the brand has created to inform us about this
What if you are managing your back pain and you catch a cold from the kids? Same rule applies. We need to always keep in mind that we can only take one medicine at a time that contains Acetaminophen.
In reality, this applies for the entire family, so be mindful of the ingredients of the different medications you are dealing with. Read your labels to keep as healthy as you possibly can. It makes no sense to try and alleviate a pain when you are inadvertently hurting your organs. Better read and be educated than sorry later.
If in doubt, check you medicines with this useful tool at the Tylenol site.
As with all medications you might take, consult with your physician what works best for you.
Let’s practice responsible pain relief when taking Acetaminophen.
This has really taken me by surprise. Did you know about taking one medication with Acetaminophen a a time?
Here’s to your health and to a pain free motherhood!

I had no idea that so many medicines have acetaminophen in them. Good to know.
Most people don’t think of a medicine so gentle that it’s safe for pregnant women to be potential harmful. Thanks for the important reminder!
i would personally make sure i’m drinking enough water BEFORE i even would think about taking ANYTHING with acetaminophen in it
Yes, I did know this about acetaminophen. If I need extra pain relief (as I did just last night) I also take an ibuprofen. I try to avoid pain meds unless it is really bad though.
Thank you for the information. It is always good to know about the medicines that have acetaminophen.
Wonderful preventative information. I hope many read this and stay aware. Thanks for sharing.
Lots of good information! thank you for sharing. I completely trust tylenol 🙂
Great information. Most people do not know about this and they can be in danger. Thank you for sharing and educating us.
I have not taken acetaminophen in I can’t tell you how long. I only use natural ways to deal with pain, fever, etc. I totally respect you thought for taking what you need to take, I just feel uneasy taking Tylenol.
Thank you for passing along this important information. A lot of damage can be done when we are not paying attention.
I had no idea acetaminophen was in so many other drugs. This is great information to know. Thanks!
This is great information for sure. I used to take OTC medicine for any kind of pain. Now I fight it off and only take one if I really have to.

I never even knew you could overdose on these medicines until I did it with Ibuprofen several years ago. It was not a pleasant experience, and I definitely didn’t do it on purpose, but I won’t be repeating it any time soon!
I did not realize there were so many different medicines with Tylenol in them. Thanks for this very important health information.
I bet a ton of people don’t know about this, so it’s awesome that you shared this today. Hopefully this helps a few people 🙂
Lots of great information here. Thanks for sharing!
I won’t even lie – I usually take 3 every time for main, even thought the recommended dosage is 2. I have to stop doing that.
I didn’t realize this at all. I’m so glad you shared it since it’s a pain reliever I use.
I did not know about this.To be honest I try to not use anything for pain as much as I can I really dislike using anything.
Gracias por la info siempre es bueno enterarse de los efectos secundarios de los medicamentos.
I never knew this before, glad to have finally found out about it.
Thanks for the info!
With 2 sisters who are nurses, I get to hear a lot of scare stories. But I also have a good resource on to know which medications have what type of pain killer in it so I know what is safe to use and when. It is very important to know as much as possible about the medications you take.
Too many people use over the counter meds too frequently. Just because it does not require an Rx- does not mean that it is okay to take as many as you want!
wow totally learned something new today. I had no clue.
Unfortunately I have a high tolerance to pain and acetaminophen has never worked for me. I’ve always need prescription drugs to ease my aches and pains. Most people don’t realize how many other drugs contain acetaminophen though, crazy!
Great info! I will share with my friends!
I take herbs when I have pain. White Willow Bark is what I take for a headache.
I had no idea that so many medicines have acetaminophen. This is an important post. We all should take note of this information.
I know some people that rely on this stuff on a daily basis and more than once a day. Scary! Amber N
Great info. Acetaminophen is so bad for you they say. I always take Motrin for my head aches an backaches.
Thanks for educating us, I took tylenol when I was pregnant it was recommended by my OB for fever and pain. I still get back pain when I am working around the house longer.
Thanks for the info. As for me, I normally don’t take meds right away, I like to use creams or those hot/cold compress bag
A lot of people don’t bother to read the instructions on pain medicines. I never mix meds. That is too scary!
I haven’t had meds in ages. I had a baby last year completely med free. I try to handle pain with natural alternative methods.
Excelente información… Debemos tomar mayor consciencia del cuidado de nuestra salud.
Thanks for the information! I usually try to just bare the pain & not use pain meds if possible.
I had a friend that did not read labels and ended up in the hospital from taking too many medications with acetaminophen in it. That experience made our family read labels twice as well as passing the bottle around to have others verify.
I always try to research possible interactions any time I take any kind of medication. It seems harmless enough but you never know what might cause a problem.
So important to be aware of this! Thanks!
This is such an untalked about topic but is tragically real! My husbands niece died of acetaminophen overdose. She was barely 21 years old. 🙁 Scariest thing we ever went through.
Thank you so much for this information. I always worry about the side effects of every meds.
My mom has had back issues for as long as I can remember, probably my fault LOL She normally just sucks it up and deals without any meds, though LOL Great information in this post, thank you!
Thank you for the information I had no idea!!
Great tips! I have back problems because of my RA and it can be so bothersome sometimes, especially when there are things that just have to get done. I take alot of other meds for the RA so I am very funny about taking anything else OTC. I generally use heating packs and alternate ice packs or take a hot bath those types of tips.
I always have tylenol on hand. My incessant headache calls for it.
Awareness is so important. Thanks for sharing!
Muy importante! Muchas gracias por la info! Saludos y

Wow! That many meds contain it? I had no idea!
I have chronic back problems and have to be careful with Tylenol. I take prescription meds sometimes, so I have to make sure I’m not taking more on top of it.
I am allergic to just about everything but I can take tylenol. This was a good read. And I suffer from the mommy back pain too. Think it’s also weight related. Great article!
I use Tylenol whenever I need pain medication. It really helps me with my bad back.
That’s scary. I never realized how dangerous it really was.
Thanks for sharing. It’s soo important to take care when using medication.
I keep Tylenol in my medicine cabinet at all time. You never know when it is needed. Thanks for the tips.
Tylenol has always been a trusted brand in our home. It’s perfect for lowering fevers and decreasing pain.

One of the things I’ve learned coping with #ChronicPain for the last 10 years is that I have to be very proactive in making sure it doesn’t “set in”. Thanks for the info on the #Acetaminophen ; very helpful.

BB knows first hand how NOT fun backpain is. Self knowledge is the first part towards pain relief.
