I have to tell you I am still in summer mode and have procrastinated all of my back to school preparations. Today I plan to get everything done. As I am making my “back to school essentials” list, it hits me like a rock: the school physicals! Oh my, at this stage I know our fabulous pediatrician is extremely busy. I call, sure enough, nothing we can do for another month. What to do, what to do? Stress level through the roof! OK, calm down, let’s get this list taken care off. Sitting in my car trying to decide where to get the school supplies, I reach for my head, it is pounding. So, I make a detour to Walgreens. I walk in and see a sign :Health Clinic …. It doesn’t resonate, I am making a bee line for the Pharmacy.
Whoa! what a beautiful store! When I get to the pharmacy the colors are already calming me. It is so organized: the drop off and pick up, a special pharmacy consulting area, and even an expedite prescription pick-up booth.
It is only then when I see the sign: Walgreens Health Clinic….
Under it, an inviting waiting area with a couple of private consultation rooms. As I start browsing a bit more, I see the signs and brochures explaining that now
Walgreens Healthcare Clinics offers school and sports physicals for kids 21 and under for just $49*. You can lower that even more by using a $10 off coupon ( get that coupon in-store and online -so now you are at $39). Don’t have an appointment? No worries, they are nice to have, but not necessary, Walgreens takes walk-ins like me! You do need to make sure you have any paperwork required by your child’s school in hand.
Licensed Healthcare professionals will be caring for your child. They are available to answer your concerns, and help with immunizations the kids might need for the school year. Just like the signage, at the store todo en English and in Español. Muchas gracias #WalgreensLatino! Of course I took care of the school health paperwork right away.
Once I was done with that I found another big sign that would cover my school supplies. Jackpot! Walgreens truly is a one stop shop for this “where did summer go”type mom. Notebooks, hand sanitizer, pencils, disinfecting wipes, backpacks, tissues and lunch boxes. Everything on my list, and teacher’s list was there for me!
I really took care of everything at Walgreens: we needed a couple photos of the kids for their new school badges. Easy peasy: uploaded them to the photo department directly from my phone while choosing the school supplies. On my way to the check-out I was able to pick them up and cross off all off my back to school list!
Without even planning it, I got ALL of my back to school needs covered, and this #CollectiveBias post done at Walgreens! Can you say lifesaver? I left with everything but my headache pills. No need for them after all.

I was just in Walgreens looking for candy oils. They have them too… but they didn’t have the flavor I wanted. I will be going soon to get my flu shot.
I’m not ready for back to school (my husband went back to work today. UGH.) I need to check out the new Walgreens near my house. The other one did not have a welcoming waiting room like the one you pictured! I have gotten flu shots there before, but never thought about physicals.
I am with ya on the “still in summer mode” I had my kids do their own shopping this year. They are 12 and 17. thank God they are older now….well the 17 year old helped the 12 year old. Lol

I am hoping we have one of these near us as we do not have our doctors selected in our new hometown. I loved these for quick visits back home.
I didn’t know that some walgreens had clinics. I knew other stored did but not walgreen very cool.
We did most of our bts shopping at Walgreen’s this year. They always have everything we need, and their prices are pretty great too!

This is such a great idea! I remember when my son first started playing sports, I had no idea he would need a physical. The Dr. was booked up for weeks and he had to start late…loser mom status the rest of the year.
Wow! This makes it so much more simple to get those pesky physicals and shots out of the way. I’ll also keep it in mind for the next time I’m feeling under the weather.

I just had to go into the clinic in my local drug store to get a TB test for nursing clinicals. I find those are so much more convenient and cheaper that going to the conventional doctors offices. I am so happy that more drug stores have began doing this.

What?! Walgreens has a clinic inside?! There’s a couple Walgreens near me, I’ll have to see if any of them have this because sometimes it’s difficult to get into our doctor’s office.
I love Walgreens so much! You can basically get anything there. Kiddo already had his physical but we both need to get our flu shots so that will be done at Walgreens.

That’s a great price for a physical. I am not sure that I have ever purchased school supplies there. I will have to check them out.

We went back to school last week. Ugh. Here in Kansas, our sports physicals for drill team had to be turned in early for camp.
