Hispanic Heritage month has been in full swing! We have been enjoying amazing food from different countries in Latin America. Empanadas, Atole, Mole, Gallo Pinto, Bandeja Paisa are among the yummy moments we have indulged in! We will also be celebrating it with Macy’s
Culture is learned via food, music, history, traditions, fashion and dances. Culture is also perceived in the way we carry ourselves and act basically every day. Definitely there are many influences that make us who we are.
In celebrating the culture, music, and fashion trends of the Latino community, Macy’s is hosting influencers Jasmine Villegas (aka Jasmine V), Julie Sarinana (from Sincerely Jules) and Kika Rocha (from De Tacones por Kika Rocha). Julissa Bermudez will be leading the conversation with these ladies.
We couldn’t be happier to have been invited to attend the Miami #HHM event at the Macy’s Dadeland Mall on Saturday September 27th at 3pm.
At the event, we will be able to learn first – hand from these talented Latinas (las influyentes / the influencers) about what is means being Latina to them, their influences and their style. Besides the conversation, there will be a fashion presetntation and your opportunity to meet and greet these amazing ladies. I really can’t wait to listen to these ladies talk about their craft and how it lives and breathes their heritage.

Although I am not Hispanic, these events are so much fun for anybody! I love the culture and the food!
I wish there was an event closer to me, while I am not hispanic, I love going to these types of events. I find it to be a nice way to introduce my children to other cultures.

This sounds lovely. I didn’t know it was Hispanic heritage month. I was recently among Colombian people for a trip I wrote about and I loved the warmth of everyone and the friendly greetings they practice. I miss that.
