My goal this month is to Reward the Kids Thanks to Walmart Best Plans. This is what I mean: the kids have been doing amazing in school. One Munchkin made the honor roll, and the other one made a huge effort to finally get an A on his spelling test!! Plus, they are getting recognized for kindness, and good sportsmanship. There is a bonus to this: perfect attendance certificates too 🙂 I am extremely proud, but I must say I have not gotten around to rewarding them for all their efforts and achievements. I am changing that right now because thanks to the savings I am able to make with Walmart Best Plans I am ready to spend on prizes for my deserving children. I think you will agree this is the best way to make the most of any savings! I will also reward myself because these plans are not only the Lowest Priced Unlimited Plans I can find, they are also all about Unlimited Talk Text and Data/Web. An all around win-win.
After getting my new service and phone at Walmart and setting up the service with the Walmart Family Mobile starter kit for $25 , I spent a good amount of time playing on my new Alcatel Fierce 2 phone with my data plan searching for just the right prizes. By the way, the Walmart Family Mobile service is $29.88/month(for the first line) with Unlimited Talk, Text & Data service plan which includes up to 500MB of 4G LTE data. I was paying $185 for a limited service. So not only I am free to roam the net, I am saving $155 a month on my mobile phone bill. I did let go, and went crazy texting everyone the picture of the honor roll letter, yes I am one of those parents 🙂
After much searching I couldn’t find a meaningful gift that would really tell them how proud I am about their accomplishments. I decided to have a celebrations for them so I am going to:
- Take a photo of them with their report card, frame them and create a “wall of achievements” for each of them at home.
- Invite them out for a family dinner.
- Buy a bike so they can donate it to a less fortunate child who did make the honor roll
I think the kids will really enjoy our celebration as I put in a little lesson in lending a hand to others as well. Now it is your turn. If you could save a considerable amount of money this month, what would you use it for?

Congrats! What a wonderful gesture to reward more than only your honor roll students!
I need to change my service and start saving with Walmart. The phone looks pretty cool too!
Congratulations with your kids doing good in school. I like the idea to donate a gift to a less fortunate child who did make the honor roll, that will be a gift to it self for your kids as they learn the joy of giving!
You must be a very proud mom right now! Sounds like a great celebration and love that you are giving back and teaching them to give to those less fortunate!
Congrats to your kids for their awesome achievements!
I’ve been working on saving every month because I need to save up for a new roof and a new car.
That is a great idea! My son has been after me for a phone and this would be perfect for a reward!
Congrats to the whole family! Obviously you’re doing a great job and being a great example (that bike for another child is an unbelievable gesture/lesson of compassion and thinking of others) and it shows via your children’s accomplishments. Also, the lesson of smart shopping is another lifelong skilll you’re handing down to them. Kudos mujer. BB2U
Wow… what fantastic plans they have. I’m paying way too much right now I think I need to consider this. Thanks!!
Que chevere, felicidades, es un excelente regalo!!
