Buick Regal Is A True Pleasure

I had seen all the new Buick commercials, and I have to say I was intrigued about discovering the car.  Nevertheless, the truth is that I knew nothing about the brand.  This summer I was very lucky to have experienced first hand a Buick Regal.  It was more than just a test drive because it was a week long road trip discovery.  Off the bat I must say it was AMAZING! All I can say is “Wow, #ThatsABuick .  Our friends at GM kindly offered us a car free of charge for our road trip and we are more than happy to share out thoughts on it here.  All our raving about the Buick Regal is 100% our own.

First impressions are very important.  The first reaction we all had was that the Buick Regal indeed looked regal, luxurious and modern.  On the inside, we can’t stop our praise for the incredible features and superb comfort the car has to offer.

The Buick Regal took in style and was a very liable companion for our drive from San Francisco to Los Angeles.  First thing we noticed upon arriving at our first destination was how cold it was for summer weather!  Actually the nice 60-70 degrees we were experiencing is normally our winter weather.  It was nice to quickly find and make use of the seat warmers in the car.  Ahhhhhh.

There is plenty that we can share about the car, but I need to underline the features that really caught our hearts and jumped out at us:

• Cruise control: so as you can see from the video we are using the Buick’s cruise control.  It just isn’t any cruise control.  It is an intelligent one!  You determine the space you want with other cars.  Set your speed and drive.  The Buick will then reduce the speed or accelerate to your set speed according to the distance of cars around you.  It is not only the car in front of you, it also calculates the space of the car behind you.  Needless to say I was blown away.

• Alerts:  The Buick really becomes a traveling companion.  You are not only riding in great comfort and reliability, you have a co-pilot of sorts.
  • The Buick Regal has sensors that dissolves issues of blind spots. That is because as a car begins and ends passing you, your side mirror indicator will illuminate to tell you so.  Pure genius!
  • The Buick Regal also keep informing us about the characteristics of the road. A couple of times it advised us that the road was getting narrower. As we drove in Yosemite National Park, it gave us an alert: “Warning, animals crossing” on point!

• Comfort:  I keep repeating the word, so I apologize for being redundant, but the car is extremely comfortable for all passengers!  I was specially taken by the shape of the plush seats.  They felt very ergonomic because while I felt I fit snugly thanks for the curves of the seat,  it was protective and pampering at the same time.

• Maneuverability:  The car drives like a charm.  Extremely windy roads? San Francisco steep incline street?  Beach driving? No problem at all.  The Buick take it all effortlessly.  Furthermore, it give you a total sense of control and safety.  I love the feel of sturdiness and luxury I got every time I took the steering wheel.  

We gave the sun roof good use and I kept tweeting non-stop using the Buick Wi-Fi hot spot. I was also able to keep all my electronics charged thanks to the many outlets and USB sources available in the car. For the first time, a roomy trunk always had space for our luggage and all of our purchases.  We usually fill trunks up quickly but not this one!

The powerful Buick with all its fabulous features was a great help for me while I was driving unfamiliar roads.  Buick Regal is a beautiful comfortable car loaded with convenience for a smooth stylish and safe drive every time.  Taking to the road on a Buick Regal Is A True Pleasure!
