Wanting my Italian room mate to cook some authentic flavored pasta for us, we kept asking her in college to get in the kitchen and indulge us in some delicious recipe from her nona – grandmother. One day she finally cave in to our non-stop requests and cooked for us. she stood and said she would cook with whatever was at that moment in the kitchen. There was no need to visit our supermarket What she cooked for us is simply Pasta with Bread Crumbs. As she cooked she explained that this was a traditional Christmas Eve dish from the Calabria region in Italia.
Pasta with Bread Crumbs Recipe
The Pasta with Bread Crumbs is a very easy and quick dish to prepare. Originally it calls for anchovies, but we had tuna that day in the kitchen. Ever since all four of us make this recipe with tuna.
[yumprint-recipe id=’8′]This is a great recipe for any occasion. I do use it on a regular basis at home because children and grown ups enjoy it a lot. I serve it with a Caprese salad and some bread.
I have always been taken by how bread crumbs make this dish so distinct. Honestly, I would have never thought of putting bread crumbs to any pasta until I tasted this recipe.
It is always great to tour the world via the different food out there.
So, will you do our Pasta with Bread Crumbs with tuna or anchovies?
