Lights, smiles, dresses, celebrities, paparazzi and me!!! the Good Dinosaur Red Carpet premiere was a pixie dust studded event of prehistoric proportions in Epic Disney style that I will cherish forever! This was the perfect alignment of comet, sun, stars, amazing storytelling and Ginormous Pre-Historic Fun at the Red Carpet Premiere that resulted in a dazzling night. Here are some of the highlights of Disney-Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur Red Carpet Premiere Event.
The Red Carpet
El Capitan, Disney’s premiere cinema in the heart of tinsel town (right on Hollywood Boulevard)was the venue to host what turned out to be not a red carpet but a green carpet event.
In a closed of patch of the famed avenue artists, film makers, VIPs guests got together to experience a superb themed decor that offered photo opportunities as we as the anticipation of what we were about to view on the big screen.
The ambiance was definitely festive, happy and for me it was well beyond exciting to see how it all came together. Ticket in hand I was soaking it all in and loving every minute of it. Animation has always been a sort of mystic science that captivates my curiosity, so being able to see and interact with those involved in such a fabulous production was not only unforgettable, it was out of this world!

The Good Dinosaur Movie Premiere
It was time to view the animated film. As we entered the “El Capitan” theater, I was taken by the detail of the walls and ceiling of this beautiful 1920’s building that greets you with a nostalgic ticket booth. Once in the actual theater room, front and center on stage was a Wurlitzer organ entertaining us with many different Disney tunes. As the organ was lowered, the curtains drawn and the crowd enthusiastically cheering, I couldn’t help but think about the young talented Jack Bright who plays Spot in the movie. It was the first time he was watching the movie after all the hard work put into it previously! How incredible 🙂
The viewing starts with the presentation of a wonderful short called “Sanjay’s Super Team” You will be reading all about it next week from me. Then it was The Good Dinosaur’s turn. The crowd was totally engaged in the production and a few young viewers were reacting to what they saw on the screen. The way to viewers were cheering, applauding and laughing with the movie made me feel like I was watching with family.
The After Party
Along with young Disney stars, A.J. Buckley Anna Paquin – voice of Ramsey , Sam Elliot, the kids from the show Blackish, Marcus Scribner – voice of Buck, and Mario Lopez we walked across the street to the The Good Dinosaur’s after party.
When we arrived, a room decked out in Good Dinosaur images greeted us as video from the movie rolled on giant screens and food was served.
The after party had plenty of fun for the kids with several cool stations to make a terrarium, dino necklaces, or knotted bracelets plus the opportunity for everyone to try a hand at the new Disney Infinity 3.0 which of course includes adventures with Arlo and Spot.
I can’t finish this post without sharing a few photos more photos. I know, I never post photos of myself but you will see why I had to make an exception 🙂 there are not too many no worries
After that whirlwind of a night, I can tell you I want to do it again. I am also ready to see The Good Dinosaur again and you should be making plans to go to the movies and watch on November 25th!
