I love it when the kids think of others and when we find activities to do together. This year baking cookies is top of our list, and our new neighbors are our #spreadcheer target. They just moved in this past weekend, and our little princess decided we should welcome them and surprise them with some yummy holiday cheer. So we set out with the help of Betty Crocker Cookies to give them just that. Baking Cookies and Spreading Holiday Cheer
Coupon in hand we got our Betty Crocker, Sugar Cookie Mix, 1lb, pouch (don’t forget to get you coupon here) 2 ingredients more and we were on our way. Before we knew it, we were in the midst of the best cookie making party we have ever had at home. The kids were all smiles and holiday music in the background had us twirling around as we all took a turn in mixing, scooping and watching the cookies bake.
I can’t tell you what a fabulous family afternoon we had together. I was also very excited with our little baking sesion because the children were able to finally be completely hands on for this project. They were fully vested and into it. Usually, after a few minutes into our projects, they scatter out and I am left alone finishing it all.
After a few minutes in the oven and some more cooling down, we had to have a taste test to make sure our new neighbors would love the cookies. Suffice it to say we had to bake another batch for them :
With the new batch in hand, my princess was in charged of the cookie delivery. I peeked to see how she was doing and I found her comfortably at their door munching away!!!!
After the introductions and handing them over two cookies we did offer them beautiful holiday tags for them to spread cheer too with the promise of some delicious cookies coming their way.
The cookies are a total hit as you can read, but so are the tags! Feel free to download them too.
Now off to make a third batch, and crossing our fingers little delivery elves get the yummy surprise to its destination without a bite!
