What happens when childhood friends plan to get together after 15 errr…. 10 years??? A unanimous squeeeeeeeee happens, that’s what :-). Distance and time have definitely not diminished out strong bonds. We are planning to meet and over our phone call, I can tell you the excited electricity was palpable. This get-together will undoubtedly convert into a great fiesta with plenty of glass clinks with Fun and Colorful Glitter Glassware
Feel Bright!
Brightness is that special spark of life we all have. It also is a jolt of energy or playfulness feeling we experience at different times in our lives. I definitively experience plenty of bright moments sharing with my 3 fab friends, and I’m ready to share more bright, upbeat brilliance with them with a Fun and Colorful Glitter Glassware DIY. Here is how you create washable glitter glassware:
Colorful Glitter Glassware DIY
What you need:
- Clear glassware
- Masking tape
- Plastic bags
- Spray glue
- Glitter in your preferred color
- Clear sealant
Procedure:
- Make sure the glassware is clean.
- Decide how high you want the glitter to go on the stem of the glassware
- Mark it with the masking tape
- Use the plastic bags to cover the rest of the glassware and tape it so it won’t move as you work
- Spray glue over the area you want to glitter
- Immediately pour the glitter over the glue
- Let it dry completely
- Once it dries, spray clear sealant over the glitter so you can HAND WASH your glitter glassware!
Tip: I started out with the thinner glitter and changed to the coarser glitter for added shine and sparkle.
The Bright Inspiration
My friends all loved the sparkle of the Fun and Colorful Glitter Glassware DIY. As we laughed, conversed, reminisced and chismoseamos (gossiped a bit) one of them asked me how I got the inspiration to make the glassware. My answer was simple: friendship! Because it totally gives me that feeling of brightness, a spark of energy and happiness! It is also why I went with vivid berry colors for the DIY 🙂
This inspiration was a perfect way to complement the happy, playful and energetic mood that goes along so perfectly with the “Bright” life that my friends live by! As latinas we love bold, colorful and vibrant, so the Colorful Glitter Glassware for our fruit punch mixed exquisitely with our getÂtogether! At the end of the day, each friend took home one of the sparkly glasses to bring them back together in the near future for a promised brunch!
Celebrating it All
This craft is really easy to make. So, it means that I will be making gold and silver wine glasses for New Year’s Day parties. Also, I think I will use pastel glitter colors for Easter and Spring celebrations and go use bright color for summer pool fun. Of course, reds and pinks for Valentine’s day and a set of green glittered glasses for Saint Patrick’s Day. Fortunately, this DIY can be done for just about any holiday, festive occasion or celebration!
What color palette will you choose to make these?
