I am the perfectionist Type A, everything in its place and matching size AND color….before kids. I think every mom understands what I am talking about here, and will give a nod to my Type A Newbie Mom Tips from The Laundry Room.
Avoid New Mom Exhaustion
I am the perfectionist Type A, everything in its place and matching size AND color….before kids. Mind you, I am still that, but have learned to add a new dimension to my extra organized personality to adopt my COOL and CHILL mommy mantra. So, after we fell in love and brought baby home, I was frantic trying to master motherhood, googling everything and for all that is sacred trying hard to keep everything in my accustomed draconian order. Before long, I was over exhausted, frustrated and with mounting post baby blues. How was I not able to manage it all, and how was laundry out of control? Easy answer, I needed to let go, just a tad of a few things
Type A Newbie Mom Tips from The Laundry Room.
Because you are a Type A, you will have already researched and found out that Dreft is the #1 baby laundry detergent choice of pediatricians and the #1 dermatologist recommended brand for baby clothes. You are ahead of the messy game caring for baby’s skin! Now try and check these tips off too:
1- You will find that hospital blankie is ugly and great! If you can’t stock up on those, use cloth diapers for baby to snuggle in her crib, and you can use to wipe down if needed. These are easy to replace and small enough to make folding laundry easy.
2-Chores can wait, take a nap: I know this one is hard. You don’t need to be productive every time baby takes a nap, take one yourself too. Anyway, the biggest chore is now laundry, and Dreft Newborn and Active Baby detergents are gentle and hypoallergenic on baby’s sensitive skin, tough on stains so you are covered. Sleep with a smile!
3- Use your Type A personality to your advantage: because there is always that unanticipated curve ball: double up on sheets on baby’s mattress so you can just pull the top one out if spill, spits or diaper accidents occur in the wee hours of the morning. No, you don’t have to tend to the dirty sheet right away.
4- Breath in and smell in goodness: I changed my baby blue tears to happy ones using a little Dreft in my life because its beautiful baby scent is a powerful driver of emotion – just a simple whiff of freshly-laundered clothes with baby detergent can bring back the happy moments of becoming a mom. I still use it just as a reminder of our entire amazing babyhood journey. I also took whiffs of lavender to help me relax for those self-imposed naps I was telling you about earlier.
5- Boys are different: boys pee will go everywhere, place a little towel on his privates when you are changing him or dressing him, that way only the the towel need to get washed and not the walls, bed, changing table or you.
Yes, you will find prove over and over again that parenthood and babyhood are messy. I say to you: Indulge in those messy and imperfect moments. They make for the sweetest and most unexpected love-filled memories!

My best tip is to stock your fridge full of freezer meals before baby comes. It is so helpful not to have to worry about what to make for dinner and to have more time to spend with your new baby.
My best tip is to accept help from family and friends whenever possible. I also suggest taking lots of pictures and video to remember all the milestones.
motherhood is one of the greatest reward yet biggest challenge you’ll ever face in life. Don’t worry if things don’t go exactly as planned and learn to cherish every second you have with them.
Sleep when the baby sleeps. Ask for help if you need it.
My tip is not to worry you will do a good job also accept the help whenever you can
Thanks for the giveaway
I Mother of 4 children my advice to new daddies! Having always present every moment, that every day will have a new surprise and as such try to capture those little moments photos videos, all account, the first smile, the first look with mom and dad, until his weeping love him because in the first few months and then changes them will be missed. A unique and unforgettable experience! No less important tip rest, rest before the baby arrives because after Goodbye quiet nights! Aww clear that the first few months because after they get used to the hours mommy sleeps! Well #amazinghood whole experience will be unique and auque I tell you my moments as a mom arrival of my babies you are going to live one’s ♥
My mothet-in-law always stressed for me to take care of myself and make sure I have happiness in life. You can easily get stressed out with a new baby but you have to accept help and take care of yourself too.
Go with the flow. It’s easy to feel panicked and scared but don’t be afraid to reach out to other fellow moms and your parents for help 🙂
The tip is definitely sleep when baby sleeps, enjoy every milestone and take lots of pictures and if possible videos. They grow fast and memories remain for the rest of our lives. Thanks for the chance to win such an amazing giveaway. I’ve been using Dreft for a few years since two of my girls suffer from eczema. I am so praying to win this!
Things don’t always go as planned (if anything, most times they don’t). So live life in the moment and improvise 🙂
don’t sweat the little things. Babies grow up faster than you’ll know and you’ll quickly find yourself wishing you could do it all again and just cherish each and every moment with them.
One of my best tips is take time for yourself. Go out shopping for a few hours with friends, or get your hair and nails done, or just take a nap. Whatever you want to do, to relieve some stress, it’s very important, too keep those baby blues away!
