This is a sponsored post on behalf of BJ’s Wholesale.  All opinions are 100% my own.

It’s football time!   This year  the Miami Dolphins are using a brand new stadium.  You can only imagine how excited we are!  Of course, that means that we are trying to kick our tailgating a notch higher.  As a matter of fact, we love doing it so much we even “home-gate” when we don’t get to the actual game.  While some things change, like a new state of the art stadium, some others don’t, like rooting for the Dolphins or our special Versatile Tailgating French Onion Blue Cheese Dip. Go Fins!

Versatile Tailgating French Onion Blue Cheese Dip

Easy crowd pleasing recipes are the way to go for our tailgate parties. We do love getting as much as we can prepared before hand so we can start eating the moment we arrive.  While the grilling is pretty quick, the key is that everything should be eaten before the game starts, so we don’t have to worry about leftovers spoiling in the heat while go cheer our team.  The perfect example is our Onion dip.  This year, the dip is getting a revamp (a nod to the stadium).  I am adapting chef Glenn’s French Onion Blue Cheese Dip recipe.

I love that this recipe can be indulged in with so many different things. It is a dip for chips and so much more! I can use it as a creamy chunky salad dressing, to garnish our boiled potatoes or drizzle over burgers and hot dogs.  Of course, on its own, the dip is great with chips to small toasts too.  You just can go wrong with it, and it will disappear before you know it. 🙂

Getting ready for Tailgating events

When it comes to our tailgate preparations, nothing is left to chance.  Specially because we love sharing, and so quality and quantity are foremost in our minds.  With one stop at BJ’s Wholesale, we get all we need.  Paper plates, napkins, platters, beach chairs, drinks and all the food items get checked off the list quickly.  Sometimes I do get Dolphins’ paraphernalia too! You can even get your BBQ there if you need one.  As a matter of fact, I got  chef Glenn’s recipe inspiration from the good people at BJ’s Wholesale.  Truly it is the one stop shop to take care of our tailgate needs and wants.

What a delicious and amazing little dip. I can also envision using it for a seafood pasta. I love that it has no mayo. My mom used to do Amanda onion dip that called for mayo and it is not healthy at all

Ok so I confess I come visit you often but never leave a comment. I saw your recipe and put it to good use. I had to come back and tell you what a hit your dip has been. Our tailgating will never be the same without it
