When pixie dust arrives in your inbox, the screams are heard loud and clear all over your home and social media outlets. That is because the entire family is included and they join you in chEARing on the joy of Disney magic as a family. I have been very fortunate: for two years in a row, I have been able to attend. This being said, mom duties have cut short my attendance both years. Nevertheless, the appetizer that I have enjoyed of the DisneySMMC is nothing short of Fantasmic!!

Pixie Dust Above and Beyond is Everywhere at DisneySMMC
There was a time when my career was everything in my life. That was until I became a mom. Happily, the mom life has taught me a new career that allows me to be the mom I want to be. In the process, I have become a bigger Disney fan than I have ever been. So in my world, the Disney SMMC is a big, big, enormous deal 🙂 The Disney SMMC team gets it, and makes us wish upon a star every year because hands down they pull the memory maker of they year every time. So while I know there are many people working hard to make sure everything runs smoothly, I can’t help but feel that I need to recognize those in the team that have my heart and gratitude.
My 2016 Golden Mickey Goes To…
Last year, I signed us up for the conference only to find out a few weeks before it happened that school had chosen the same dates for my munchkin’s first communion. For a day, I was part of an elite group of Disney Moms at Disney’s Yacht Club. In a day, I got to learn so much about Disney, get amazing news from the parks and experienced the first few minutes of Finding Dory which hooked me to the film hard. For 2016, Ann Mc. held my newbie hand and helped me navigate my one day of conference like a pro. I could read her enthusiasm and smiles on the emails we exchanged. I am very grateful for her professionalism and support.

The 2017 Golden Mickey is Shared by A Solid Team
This year, the conference had land and sea components to it. Yes, that meant going to Castaway Cay via a Disney Cruise!!! It was from this DisneySMMC planning that I finally discovered about Fish Extenders (on a post soon for you) and got my 2.0 Disney bands! Alas, mom duties had a different plan for me and I had to fly back home as my little one was in the ER, and later ended up admitted to the main hospital. Courtnee C, Lisa M. and Marita S. literally supported me as I broke down with the ugly cry to tell them I had to cut my experience short. I was a hot mess and all three of them made every effort to appease me and make it all run smoothly despite the circumstances plus continue running a jam-packed agenda and over what seemed 300 participants. Can you say #MagicalGirlPower?

Seriously, Words Fall Short
There is just so much heart behind everything I experience with Disney. Not only do they manage to pull of an out of this world conference for attendees and their families, their Disney values shine through at every step, every detail, every smile and all their professionalism. It is through the Disney Social Media Moms Conference that I see how much each individual that works at Disney goes beyond the call of duty to ensure magical memories. From a change of t-shirt size to helping you plan your early return home.
I can’t thank DSMMC enough for the honor of including me in the invites. There is no way to put into words my gratitude for their understanding of my mom duties.
Here is to rubbing Aladdin’s lamp and asking the genie to allow me to enjoy a full Disney SMMC with my family at my side!

What an incredible experience. I hope to one day get that special invite so I can be apart of the magic. I enjoyed following along with my friends that went.
My kids are grown now but I would still love to take the whole family to an event like this! I am glad you had a great time and you are a great mom! I look back at my mom years and wonder how I ever found the time to do it all! I can barely keep up with myself now days lol
