If you are camping in a tent, it will hard rolling your suitcase around camp. Think study containers. No critters can’t get in and you are guaranteed to keep all your clothes dry. You can Glamp!
There is nothing wrong with glamping. My friend brought a camping a/c unit and I love her for it. Some purists may frown at this. Honestly, it is your camping trip. If you want to sleep on the floor with the kids, wonderful. I use an air mattress and a plush pillow. Camping means sleeping in a cabin for you? Go for it!

Nighttime is enchanting:
It gets very dark at night. Far from city lights you will stargaze and be mesmerized by the beauty of nighttime outdoors. It is also very noisy. You will hear the whisper of an insect! I think this was the most spiritual, relaxing and inspiring experience of the entire camping trip. I was left in awe of the world.

We are the ones who have never been on a camping trip before. This is our first year when we go for camping on the May long weekend. And picked up a coouple of valuable ideas from your tips.
Oh i love it! I love this post. It is so timely. This weekend will be my first time. I am excited and scared at the same time.
Those are all awesome ideas! I definitely love the outdoors, although it’s been a while since we last went camping. I sure miss it. I think this makes a pretty awesome guide for beginners.
love these ideas I must admit I am a hotel kind of mum and camping is a nightmare holiday for me although I know the kids would love it so may have to try out some of your ideas
I can´t remember the last time I was at camping lol it was when I was in high school but that is definetely one of the coolest experience I´ve had in my life!
OMG! This is so useful! I just moved to a new state and trails are too far for us to explore. I think camping may be our only option to spend time outdoors. Hubby is from the area and he said that’s what he mostly did as a kid. Plus with our family size, it be cheaper to go camping then spend at a theme park. Thank you!
Great tips. We’ll be taking the boys camping next year and these will come in handy.
I love camping. I grew up on it and now we take our kids several times a year. We used tents for a long time but recently got a camp trailer. I love it! These are great tips. The important thing is getting out and enjoying nature.
Admire you for how have gotten the camping bug. I am fortunate in the sense that I have been camping since I was a kid.
Those are great tips! I am not a mom but I would love to try camping with family until I read your post. You make me want to go! I think it will be really fun 🙂
I am NOT a camper but these are great tips. We went camping a lot when I was a kid. My poor children will never get to go because I can’t stand bugs, heat and not having a locking door when I’m sleeping LOL
What a great post idea. I am not an outdoor person at all! But we recently got an offer to do two nights of camping. I am trying to muster up the confidence to do it:)
