How To Make Sweet Valentine “Bee Mine” Bumble Bee Cookies
Bumble Bee sandwich cookies for the win! These adorable and easy to make Bumble Bee Oreo Cookies are pure honey sweetness. They are pretty straight forward and easy to make. Besides eating them, they can also become a cool Valentine’s day activity with the kids! Bottom line, these are too cute not to make, so let’s get busy.
Easy Be Mine Bumble Bee Oreo Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 package of double stuffed oreos
- 1 bag of yellow candy melts
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tube of black cookie icing
- 36 small edible eyes
- 1 container of Wilton confetti hearts
- 1 Cup of Ghirardelli milk chocolate melting wafers
- Cookie sheet fitted with parchment paper
Directions
- To start, use a double boiler, melt the yellow the yellow candy melts.
- Once the candy melts is fully melted and smooth, add in the coconut oil and mix until combined and smooth.
- Carefully, place the Oreo into the candy melt.
- Use a fork, to flip over the Oreo so that it’s completely coated.
- Carefully pick it up with the fork, and lightly tap the edge of the pot to get excess candy melt off the Oreos.
- Place Oreo onto the cookie sheet.
- Repeat step with remaining Oreos.
- Place aside and let chocolate completely cool and harden .
- Once yellow chocolate is harden, place Ghirardelli chocolate into the double boiler pot.
- Once melted, carefully dip the tip of the Oreo into the chocolate and lightly shake excess chocolate off .
- Place two eyes into the center of the milk chocolate.
- Use the black cookie icing, pipe 3 lines on the Oreo for the lines of the bee.
- Place a red confetti heart on the end of the bee for his stinger.
Let set for 30 minutes before enjoying!
Cool mom tip: You can easily transform these sweet treats into pops by inserting a stick in the cream filling of the cookies before you cover them with the melted candy in step 1. I got my ingredients here:
