One of the things I wished I knew before my first Disney Cruise was about the fun that was going on aboard exchanging pixie dust with fellow travelers. Hanging by the doors of staterooms are “Fish Extenders” which serve as a kind of mailbox to deliver gifts and notes. In preparation for our Disney Dream Cruise, I came up with an idea on How To Make The Easiest Fish Extender Ever For a Disney Cruise!
Disney invited us to participate at the Disney Social Media Moms Conference. That is the inspiration for our DIY. All opinions shared are 100% my own.
About Fish Extenders
The pocketed banner-like items are a fun way to swap magic with other cruisers. It is especially fun for the kids! They hang from the silverfish or starfish outside stateroom. Hence the name. If you want to participate, you sign up at DIS Boards forum page for Disney Cruise Meets. You can also search on Facebook for the date of your sailing. When you sign up you will share your stateroom number and who is traveling with you. This helps with the preparations of what types of gifts to get ready for your exchange.
