This event was an all expense paid experience with Kia. All opinions are 100% my own.
No, this is not a therapy post, and no, I am not a psychologist. But, I do promise tons of optimism and some tools to recharge yourself. I was going to write about conquering your fears based on my most recent experience meeting the Kia Family. But the truth of the matter is that all second guessing myself was offset by the support of my new family translated into amazing ways to nudge up Self- Confidence. You know I love all things cool, chill and zen. But sometimes, a little tingling sensation creeps up and makes me wonder. Time to reboot and reignite self-confidence effortlessly. These are simple ways and tips on how to easily Fuel-Up Your Self-Confidence.
How To Fuel-Up Your Self-Confidence
I came to these easy-going tips while in San Diego last week during an absolutely fabulous Kia immersion. My heart beat to the best rhythm with the Kia Family and I am beyond grateful for them adopting me wholeheartedly. Admittedly, sometimes a little boost can go a long way. Even better, discovering how you have everything you need readily available.
Tip 1: Round up your tribe
Wow, there is nothing like feeling welcomed and made a part of something amazing. Yes, I knew a few of my now Kia siblings, but there were a lot of new faces that opened their arms to me. Your tribe can be an awesome new one too. Better yet, make it a mix of old and new. I guarantee your heart will be as full as mine is right now.
Tip 2: Do something different or new with cool friends
Confession time. I can’t sing to save my life. Karaoke? Not part of my vocabulary, period. So, when our Kia friends were closing #TheNewKia event with a bang, I was ready to run for the hills. The night promised unparalleled Karaoke fun. Fortunately, I had awesome front ladies who aced the song. Thanks for letting me stand in the backup singers line. I sang the chorus out loud sans microphone. But there, fear conquered. After that, I did sing to the top of my lungs Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Payer” right next to the stage 🙂

Tip 3: Be a part of something: find constructive or creative activities
Surprisingly, you can feel accomplished with just about anything. I was feeling really good that I got all the steps and lyrics to Spice Girls’ “Wannabe”. That song has some tongue-twisting verses! I was on top of the world. We were challenged to put together a car karaoke type video. See how we rocked it. Don’t miss how some of us ended up in the trunk for that. Guess what? We won!!!! Those high fives and celebratory hugs are the best rewards ever. #SpiceStingers forever!
Tip 4: Let Cool take over
Ohhhhhh when the engine of the Kia Stinger purrrrrrrrred to me when I test drove it, I was overtaken by coolness. Cool can be found in many ways, just let it come in and take over! You define cool, so go invite more of it in!
Tip 5: Go On An Adventure
If your friends come along great! Don’t have an adventure? Invent one. There is one just around the corner waiting for you. Our adventure was more of a mission: we needed the best set of steps for our Spice Girls routine. GPS in hand, we arrived at the amphitheater at the Mt. Helix Park, a beautiful place high above the city. The color of the steps and style somehow reminded me of ancient Greece or Rome. I guess you can say I had a double adventure!
Tip 6 Be Open Minded
Some of my best friends are so because I did not shut them down from the start for apparently being different to me. “Want to come with me to my temple?” she asked. Of course, I wanted to plus we were looking for reasons not get out the Kia Stinger :). So, Off we went. After a 20 minute drive, the recompense of the sweet drive was a vision courtesy of a cloudy day. It seemed as if the white temple was suspended in the clouds! Mesmerizing! My friend? Fulfilled she made it to temple. Can you say perfection? Again counting my blessings to the power of two 🙂
Gratitude Collects The Self-Confidence For us
Unequivocally, I am extremely grateful for being part of The New Kia event and everything it entailed. In the end, it was that feeling that rounded up all the tips and pushed over my full tank of refueled self-confidence :-). Looking at the full picture helps us recognize our blessings and how far we have come. In doing so, we soon will see our column of positives is way longer than we thought. Consequently, we are ready to take on more and hopefully offer more to the world around us.

My dessert sums up how I feel: Love Kia full stop
I told you this was not a therapy post. It is one about an incredible brand that is shaking up the automobile industry. The Very same Kia that showered us with generous kindness and memorable rockin’ fun and led me to these tips! I can’t wait to keep checking them off with Kia!
