Horse Themed Movie Night Ideas – Walk Ride Rodeo Inspired
There is a new movie on Netflix and it is the source of inspiration of our Horse Themed Movie Night Ideas. As always our ideas are simple and quick to implement. Of course, we are aiming for total fun with these easy ideas:
Get everyone’s artistic juices going! We prepared horse shapes along with paint, crayons, and markers for all to create their own colorful horse. Definitively add glitter to the mix!
A fun way to exhibit the colorful horses was a garland! We used a blank burlap one and just glued each drawing on the garland.
A great way to mark our movie viewing is with a fun little useful DIY. We got empty jars and glued a horse to the lid of each jar. Then we filled ours with candy. A great goodie gift for our friends who came to watch with us. The icing on the cake? You can use these for coins, small toys, buttons, you name it.

Why Walk Ride Rodeo?
Walk. Ride. Rodeo. is such an uplifting movie. More than that, it is powerful and inspiring. It is full of one-liners and sentiments that are worth repeating to the kids like
- With determination and 0reservarenace you can do anything
- Life is like a rodeo: you need to find a balance and never give up.
- If you dream it, you can do it. Don’t give up
- Attitude is a small thing that makes all the difference
- Choose, your wings or your anchors, what will it be?
- Get back on your saddle and never give up
The movie is a tear jerker and you will cry more than once. But, the tears are worth the happy moments and the success that we witness in this beautiful production. I appreciated the photography of the film. Some shots are breathtaking! Perfect backdrops for a story that will captivate your family.
