Confession: I was dreading the Pokémon movie. The craze for Pikachu his fellow critter friend Shaw been at an all-time high in. My house for quite some time. The video games, the card exchange, pins and even the app playing everywhere we went including vacay ( yes we caught apparently the coolest Pokémon’s ever at Magic Kingdom) had me wanting for something new to capture my kid’s heart and interest. Fans have been waiting for a long time for a Pokémon movie. Detective Pikachu does not disappoint and Ryan Reynolds does an amazing job voicing Pikachu. Even for this mom hoping the Pokémon craze in my world would die down I am ready to love my own Pokémon. They are all so cute and cool!
Do you need to be a die-hard fan to enjoy the movie? Absolutely not. Do you need to be a Pokemon geek to understand the movie? While it will fun for all fans, you do not have to be one to follow the movie. Nevertheless, here are 5 things that will enhance the story for you:
