When opposites collide you know there is plenty of opportunity for big laughs. That and well, Dave Bautista will always take me to the movies. Is it enough for Stuber? I got an invite to the advance screening of the movie. So do you really want a Stuber ride? Here is my Stuber Movie Review
About Stuber Movie
When a mild-mannered Uber driver named Stu (Kumail Nanjiani) picks up a passenger (Dave Bautista) who turns out to be a cop hot on the trail of a brutal killer, he’s thrust into a harrowing ordeal where he desperately tries to hold onto his wits, his life and his five-star rating. The movie takes place in Los Angeles.
Stuber Movie Review
Well, I was pleasantly surprised. Honestly, I went into the movie with negative expectations. The trailer did not get me excited for the movie, not even with Mr. Bautista in it. But because of him, I still gave it a chance. So, is it a great movie? Definitively not.
Expect Chuckles
The odd pairing keeps laughs coming. But you will not have a hard belly laugh. Chuckles, yes, absolutely. Oh and dog lovers will enjoy the pet scenes.
Slap Stick
But taken a step further. Besides the constant swearing, the comedy is paired to gory and bloody scenes. Get ready for crashes, fires, and fights. Plus lots of in-car scenes.
Stuber Crashes
Definitively, the movie is better than expected. The humor and action combo has a heart. If you are looking for straight forward blockbuster then this is not the movie for you. The movie crashes and mostly it is a movie long commercial for the taxi alternative transportation service. It will be a great movie to doze off during a plane ride.
