It was a Wicked Maleficent Mistress of Evil Red Carpet Premiere event! More than wicked it was horned. Many in attendance doned the iconic Disney Maleficent horns to the premiere screening and after party. Here are details on the thorny carpet event for the movie sequel to Maleficent.

Wicked Maleficent Mistress of Evil Red Carpet Premiere
True to form, Los Angeles was sunny and offered a beautiful day as the backdrop for a fairy-like premiere. Once we got through security and got out badges we walked through the gates of the castle.
The Maleficent Mistress of Evil Red Carpet
While it was red carpet, there was also a fun thorny carpet design to walk on the red carpet premiere. Gigantic movie posters adorned the faux walls and the perfect photo opp on the red carpet was a castle-like wall.
There were two items that caught my eye right away. These two pieces were my absolute favorite on the red carpet:
Maleficent’s costume

The stars of the movie did not disappoint in their glam fashion and candid moments

Before long it was time to screen the movie at the iconic El Capitan Theater. The movie was…..well you have to wait until October 11th to find out my thoughts on the movie.
The Maleficent After Party
We walked a block to the Roosevelt Hotel to the after-party. Angelina Jolie was with her kids and Jon Voigh was also in attendance. I witnessed a sweet father-daughter moment of the two:
As food and drinks flowed, plus a candy fill your own bag bar got busy, The photo opp at the after-party was a very cool wall of dark wings that kept a long line of fairies waiting for their chance to pose.
But my favorite part was more of the Maleficent costumes. They are incredibly beautiful!
Maleficent Mistress of Evil takes us on a new adventure that for me started on a thorny red carpet!
