Los Angeles Frozen 2 Press Junket Interview
Before we go any further, there might be spoilers in here. So go back and read my movie review if you haven’t seen the movie. Otherwise, get ready to talk parenting, positivism, and making a difference for others.
With a full panel of Frozen talent, we sat accross from the voice actors, song writers, the producer and the director. We got it all!
Frozen 2 and Parenting
As I mentioned, Frozen 2 goes deeper. The adventure ignites as Elsa tries to understand where her powers come from. If the movie is more intense, can kids tolerate it? Kristen Bell answeres like the pro mom she is: ” “We don’t give kids enough credit for their ability to digest complex situations and trauma and struggle. That’s why the first one {Frozen} hit, because it taught kids, what do you do when you feel shy and vulnerable and incredibly powerful? It’s great for kids to be a little bit on the edge of their seats, because it’s a safe environment to try on those emotions.”
I couldn’t agree more. We need to give room for kids to grow, and going to the movies together gives children the opportunity to explore and discover in a safe environment.

Frozen 2 Gives Men The Power To Sing Their Emotions
To make up for Kristoff’s lack of song in Frozen, he gets his own 80’s style ballad. Songwriter Kristen Anderson-Lopez shares that it is very hard to have a man pour our his emotions in a song. Her husband Bobby Lopez adds that that point ties in with bullying. Jonathan Groff pulls it off beautifully and the scene is impeccably executed.

REINDEER GAMES — – In Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Frozen 2,” Kristoff and Sven find themselves among a herd of reindeer. Featuring Jonathan Groff as the voice of Kristoff (and Sven), “Frozen 2” opens in U.S. theaters on Nov. 22, 2019. © 2019 Disney. All Rights Reserved.
Not Your Everyday Princesses
Prince charming does not swoop in and save the day. The princesses do. They wear the pants (literally and figuratively) and I love it! There is plenty of action and girl power that focussed on doing the right thing.
Frozen 2 Positive Takeaways
For Kristen Bell, stepping into the unknown can be exciting! Frozen 2 talks about empowerment, discovery, different types of love and doing what needs to be done. There are a good amount of goals that are reached, and so the sense of accomplishment. You will witness leadership, support, loyalty and overcoming your fears. So, when Kristen Bell said: “I hope when people leave, they feel fulfilled.” she hit it right on the head. This also reminds me of Josh Gad talking about Olaf’s abundance of hope. Read the Josh Gad exclusive interview (where I underline why Olaf is the best 🙂 )
Making a Difference for Others
Director Chris Buck does not care about how much money they make with the movie. To him, it is about how they make a difference for others. “People that come to us and say that the movie brought their family back together, that it’s changed their lives, a lot of art students are now getting into art, because of Frozen. The ones that we hear from a lot are the people who have been going through a tough time and say I was ready to commit suicide. And I saw the first one, and I saw Elsa, and I saw her journey, and I saw your characters and I am still here, because of this movie and because of you guys. For us it’s very very powerful. It’s all about touching people.”
Frozen 2 Changes the World
So yes, to me Frozen 2 Changes the World and helps us try to make it better with our choices and our actions. It inspires us to reach for more and the good.
Did you see Frozen 2 already? How do you think the film changes the world for the better?
