In time for Father’s Day, we get a movie called “Dads”! Of course, I have the Dads Movie Review for you. This movie is really a documentary. The beauty of it, it that it is directed by a woman! Yes, Bryce Dallas Howard makes her directorial debut. And, she makes us bring tissues too. No, not to worry, the tears will be heartfelt and a great way to lovingly.
Celebrating Dads
Yes, being a parent is not easy. At the same time, it is a true joy. Now, we get the chance to see it through the lense of daddies. Of course, it is a celebration of fatherhood. But also, the movie touches upon the changing roles of fathers. Many celebrities are featured in this documentary including the director’s dad.
Dads Movie Review
I love that the movie is lighthearted. Also, it shows different types of dads as well as different skin. Inclusion is totally present. While celebrity dads might give the documentary a punch, and some humorous moments. I love that we get to see other everyday dads from around the world. The film explores what it means to be a dad from different angles. No, there is nothing new in the film. The message that there is no manual for parenthood is clear. Also, we do see what we have come to equate with father parenting, like for example, some gag action when a dirty diaper is present. Ultimately, it is cute and endearing, but a job that moms have been doing for the longest. Bottom line, these dads bring home the message that being a father is their most important job.
