“Whatcha doin’?” Getting ready for Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace Against The Universe Movie Review. I love having in common with my kids the love for the Phineas And Ferb series.  Now that Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace Against The Universe is out, will it captivate fans?  Is this new adventure as kid friendly as the TV version? Will it  be too far off from what we love about the series? Along with those answers, I have to tell you.  You are in for a super fun and cute adventure.

Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace Against The Universe Movie Review

I confess It was bittersweet to watch the end of  Phineas and Ferb.  Yes, their movie The Last Day of Summer was very cool and I love it.  But it reminds me that my fave series is no more.  So, I watched Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace  Against the Universe with a bit of crossed arms kind of thing.  Especially, because now, I can watch over and over on Disney Plus.  Could they really pull it off after all these years?  Well, it does not disappoint!!! Those arms totally relaxed as soon as the first scene was up! We are back, and everything is so fantastically familiar!  This is like the episode I never saw. It is perfection.  

The Characters

Count them with me,  they are all there.  Even Buford is back.  The voices?  Yes, you really are back to everything we love about their characteristics, little gimmicks and if any of the talent was replaced, you would never know.  

The Story

You know it.  Candace is still trying to catch her brothers with their inventions and proving it to mom. In a twist, she gets abducted by Aliens.  Perry is on the job.  Dr. Doofenshmirtz joins forces with the kids because Candance is with his daughter.  Just everything is sooooo Phineas and Ferb.

The Humor

This time around Candace is the star of the movie.  You have to feel about that.  She finally feels good and has her moment. While it has always been about fun for Phineas and Ferb, this time, fun has some urgency to it.  I can totally relate to the Siri moment!!

Uplifting Moments

We can’t let you go without pointing out some cool uplifting moments in the movie.  I know, I know. It is enough to have a new Phineas and Ferb movie. But still, indulge me, please.  We all need all the positive in our lives these crazy days, right?

Believe in your self

Candace finally realizes she is brave and intelligent.  Yes, there is a breakthrough after all. She is special in her own way, and she knows, it.

Family First

Like I mentioned in my “The Sleepover Movie Review” I do believe that siblings that don’t fight, perhaps don’t love each other.  I say that jokingly because we know sometimes we don’t always get along peacefully with our brothers and sisters.  The beauty of this movie is that Candace realizes her brothers do love her, awww .  The icing on the cake?  she loves them back, hard!

Is the whole universe really against you? 

Nah, it really never is! The best thing is that it all falls into place.  Even if we are not sure where it is all leading towards.  So, chin up all you Candaces.  It will all be alright.

The final takeaway is that we all get our moment to shine. Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace Against the Universe really is a great fun family movie.  If you are an Easter Egg hunter, I  think you will be busy finding them all.  Also, avid series watches can get ready to see references to some episodes.  Overall, you get to laugh, a lot.  And, enjoy a super adventure.  I say, get ready for a really cool family movie night!
