More often than not children will not choose something sensible. It is easy when it is a Need

If your child needs a new electric toothbrush, their birthday is a fine time to wrap it up and make it a gift. If your child needs a new hairdryer or a set of combs, ditto. Perhaps it’s a new school bag or a new helmet for bike riding or even some new bedsheets. Your child will always need something. And whatever they need can be wrapped up and given as a gift that saves you from buying life’s essentials as a separate expense.
