After the year we have had I decided I was not making New Year Resolutions. Nevertheless, I want to better myself. True to form, I am looking at eating less meat (gulp) and snacking better. Wish this carnivore luck! Of course, I want to make sure that while I eat less meat, I do get my daily intake of protein. So, besides my meatless recipe collection suggestions, I intend to stick to these Tips to Snack Better:
- Drink more water: maybe you are really thirsty and not necessarily needing a snack. Plus, we all need to keep hydrated.
- Eat your food: if you eat your meal, you won’t need to snack as much throughout the day
- Eat more protein: according to Pub Med Central, it helps prevent overeating and curve cravings.
- Keep stress at bay: snacking and over-snacking can come from anxiety or stress
- Find better snacks to much on: be intentional about it.
- Sleep more: I was blown away to find out that

Through the years, I have found that the key to eating better is to make small changes that make a difference. Like the time I decided to reduce my sugar intake. Boy, that was hard. But, the moment I allowed myself some grace and took a step at a time, it was easier to do. Because I am trying to reduce my meat consumption and want better snacks, I am happy to talk about Happy Little Plant Protein Puffs.

I tried Ranch, Nacho Cheese, and Cinnamom. All three flavors were super crunchy and airy. Very satisfying. I must admit that the flavors that a little adjusting too. It must be because they are plant-based and offer the flavors we know in chips a bit differently. But, I do encourage you to let your palate adjust. My least favorite on its own was the Cinnamon one. But, I did drop a few into my morning cup of milk, and they totally became a yummy instant cereal. My family thinks these taste more like churros which has been perfect because when the weather drops around here we do hot cocoa and Happy Little Plants Cinnamon Puffs instead of our regular churros.
Cool mom tip: I totally used the Happy Little Plant Protein Ranch Puffs as croutons in my salad!
