Just the tittle SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on The Run pulled me in even before watching the new SpongeBob movie! If that doesn’t spell adventure, I don’t know what does! I have to tell you I am extra excited about the new show Kamp Koral! Definitively, families are in for a treat with Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob and the kids are going to be watching this Paramount + movie on repeat! So here is your SpongeBob Movie: Sponge On The Run Review.

Sponge On the Run Parent Guide
SpongeBob and his accustomed antics are hitting theaters and Paramount + TODAY! This movie rated as a PG movie. Here are a couple of points I wanted to share about the movie as way of a parent guide:
Violence
Other than animation comedic violence, there is not much to report. Things like Plankton gets fried in the frier do happen.
Language
Non to report because I don’t think after watching SpongeBob there is any language out of the ordinary. If crappy and idiot make you cringe then yes, they say it.
Intense Moments
The most sensitive kids might be worried for Gary
Kids under 7 might be scared of a zombie cowboy pirate
Adult Topics
Patrick and SpongeBob loose track of time gambling and partying. Patrick lies past out and SpongeBob takes his clothes off. Fish in the background appear to be drinking alcohol. There are butt cheek jokes.

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge On The Run Review
Try to Connect The Dots
You had me a Keanu, SpongeBob! I did enjoy the cameos in the movie. It is not just Keanu Reeves, we also get some Danny Trejo and Snoop Dogg! Nevertheless, I am not all that sure what the point of that is. While it didn’t make much sense to me, Reeves’ head rolls around sharing words of wisdom. Well, not a big deal, things in SpongeBob would usually tend to go bonkers at some point. So, if anything, I would say it is all in the same sea sponge vein we are used to.
The songs don’t seem to have a point necessarily in connection to the movie, but the kids do enjoy them. In terms of the animation itself, in this movie is just perfect!
Always Good Things With SpongeBob
This is the first all CGI movie for SpongeBob and it makes a splash! The colors seem more vibrant and it is juston par with what kids are experiencing these days. We have all became more demanding of animation and this movie definitively delivers.
Something that I thought was wonderful to watch was when citizens of Bikini Bottom share memories of SpongeBob’s kindness. They all remind us how thoughtful he is. This is another great message to kids. We all not only should be kinder, but also appreciate those who are. Don’t you agree?
The movie is still funny as we know SpongeBob and the gang can be. The kids were in stitches!! Nope, jokes are not intended for parents like you might have enjoyed in The Incredibles. I do think this movie is great for everyone 6 year sold and over.
Overall Sponge On The Run Review
It is a fun road trip musical that brings back all of our favorite SpongeBob characters and a few new ones. When we interviewed the talent who voices SpongeBob, Tom Kenny, he mentioned that the adorable sponge is all about hope and innocent optimism. It is not different in this movie. We get that plus a great message about courage.
Yes, I will never tire of the good nature of SpongeBob and his adventures with Patrick. I can’t end this article without mentioning the lovable Gary! I hope we get to enjoy more SpongBob Movies and a lot more of Kamp Koral!!
