Book Reviews: On Christmas Avenue

About On Christmas Avenue By Ginny Baird

Evan, the county sheriff, knows that businesses are struggling in the small town of Clark Creek. But unlike the mayor—who happens to be his mother—he doesn’t think that hiring a “Christmas Consultant,” whatever that is, will help. Especially when this Christmas Consultant proposes a holiday parade that seems likely to overwhelm his staff and leave the town in even more debt.

Mary is sure the parade is going to be a superb fundraiser. She’s going to make sure of it, overcoming every obstacle…including those put in place by the stubborn sheriff. But in the middle of her planning, the unexpected happens: she and Evan begin to see one another in a different light. Could the parade bring about more than one Christmas miracle? This funny, feel-good holiday romance is perfect for fans of Sheila Roberts, Susan Mallery, and Jenny Hale.

Book Review: On Christmas Avenue

You know how we are so into Hallmark Christmas movies we even celebrated On Christmas Avenue book As you can imagine, we are all over the On Christmas Avenue book.  This story totally is all things Hallmark movies in a book!  That sums it up quite accurately.  Because , it checks off all the basics: a sweet love story, Christmas, a small quaint town in need of saving, lots of holiday spirit, strong family points, and all the charm.  Also, its description of the Christmas vibe is phenomenal.  Just wait to read the Christmas parade description!  I even got some inspiration for new holiday decor and recipes.  My personal favorite is how Hallmark brings to the forefront can do women that make things happen despite the odds.  Or, in this case, despite the town’s Grinch.

I will say it was very enjoyably predictable. And, an easy read that does deliver on the feel-good lightness we all need right now.  A total must for Hallmark movie fans, and we know that is a lot of us!

Get ready to easily get into the holiday spirit with this book.  More importantly, get ready to be left with a sense of joyful optimism.  That is our Book Review: On Christmas Avenue.

This book is available on Paperback, e-book, and Audiobook.  Check out all things viewing Christmas in July
