What Are Croquetas?
I can’t imagine Miami without Croquetas. Just like I can’t imagine a family that would not love all the coolness of the Chevy Silverado. They are that important. So what are they? Well, they are deep fried morsels of creamy ham (or just about anything )m mass covered in a thin layer of breadcrumb mix. Yes, I know I have your full attention now for this tour 🙂
Best Croquetas in Miami
There is no wrong way to eat a croquet. Furthermore, you will find traditional and not so traditional ones that are sure to make your taste buds happy. So, what are the top 6 Best Croquetas in Miami.
Dos Croquetas
Are a must visit for their not so traditional croquets. They sure have something for everyone. Even a Fruity Pebbles sweet one for the sweet tooth in your group.
Islas Canarias
Grab a cafecito and go! With so many cup holders spaces on the Silverado this will not be an issue and everyone will get a space to sit the cup while they munch on. This tops our list because their croquetas are AMAZING!!!! Ham, chicken and fish Croquetas are on the menu plus Cheese croquets if anyone is in a vegetarian diet.
Finka
OK, so this might be a little short cut that underlines our love for Croquetas from Islas Canarias. Because, the Croquetas here are the same lineage as the ones above. But, we all need a double bite of them. Additionally, you get them with fun twists like Croquetacos, perfect for Taco Tuesday.

Bulla Gastrobar
Definitively, you might mistake the interior of the Chevy Silverado with that of a lux SUV. It is that amazing and filled with amenities I normally don’t anticipate enjoying in a pick up truck. Naturally, I didn’t want to dirty the sleep modern interior of the Silverado. So, for this delicious croquets stop we ate at the restaurant. Why? Well, you just can’t pass up Croquetas served wit ha side of fig jelly, am I right?
Sergios’s
Not even our pup wanted to miss our trip to Sergio’s. Lucky for it, the Chevy Silverado makes it extra easy for everyone (and everything with 4 paws) to climb aboard its bed. Not only does it boast an extra small step on the actual door to the bed, it all features a bar to help pull yourself up 9or steady yourself). And so, off we went to the place that gave us “Croqueta Day” back in 2018. Of course, they carry the traditional variety of ham, chicken and fish (bacalao). But, we totally recommend you request the chorizo Croquetas. Undoubtedly, a must indulge.
Publix
Yes, you read correctly. We have to include the supermarket chain. With all the Silverado horsepower, we bee lined to Publix Bakery. They offer some of the best grab and go Croquetas in town. Famed at class parties where their croquets disappear in seconds. You really can’t go wrong here to feed Croquetas to a crowd. Here, the Silverado console plays a key role. If you don’t want the Croquetas to disappear en route to your party, store them in the deep console. I managed to fit 4 boxes and my purse in there. In case you need more storage, look in the back at that rear cushion. There is additional storage space back there too.
Have Room for More – Honorable Mentions
Thankful indeed, for a roomy interior where even an adult in the rear seat can stretch out and have ample leg room. We always need the extra room, especially after over doing it in a Croqueta tour. Bonus, is the fact that everyone in the back of the truck enjoys their own climate controls too. Naturally, with room to expand and hopefully, some more wast room, you might want to explore this notable mentions for the Best Croquetas in Miami:
- Versailles
- La Carreta
- Party Cakes Bakery
- Sugarcane – to munch on goat cheese Croquetas.
A Safe Croqueta Tour
While I recommend parking to bite into your croquetas for some focussed indulge, you can do both. If, you eat and drive, do it with the peace of mind that comes thanks to all the safety features of the Chevy Silverado. Like, the lane change alert, blink spot alert, and even a rear seat reminder so no one stays behind. My personal favorite, is the teen driver mode and the rear cross traffic alert.
Also, there is no real need to hit the 4-wheel drive mode for our Croqueta tour, but is sure brings a smile to know that the Silverado can do that too. Furthermore, it has a 9700 tow capacity with impressive 2K pounds payload. Which, after so many Croquetas could be pretty accurate for my fam.
