The Home Sweet Home Alone Movie Review should be another great reason for you to line up a super Home Alone marathon this holiday season. If you were itching for another addition to this franchise, you are going to love Home Sweet Home Alone. It will be great laughs and maybe some family holiday prank inspiration. Better yet, a warm, fuzzy reminder that family is everything. It premieres on Disney + on November 12th.
Home Sweet Home Alone Movie Review
To start, let me tell you that there are no villains in this movie. Better yet, the central cast can dub both as heroes and as villains. This, of course, make for an interesting conversation with the kids. How do you see it from each perspective?
Another important point is that you will be laughing and the kids will be hysterical. Be it the shenanigans or the silly one liners brilliantly delivered, you will be in stitches. Also, some of the stunts are flat our brutal. Case and point, the use of billiard balls. But, it is clear that everything is over the top, and no one is seriously injured despite the dramatic traps that are set.
There is minor language to consider and at a bit over 90 minutes long, it is great for every family member to watch without getting restless.
Home Sweet Home Alone Movie Review – Overall
This movie is good entertainment for the entire family. It is full of easter eggs and you will be sure to feel those throwback movie moments. Despite this, this installment does stand on its own two feet. Get ready for slapstick (really slapstick) humor. The identity of this movie franchise is not lost. So much so, that even one character takes a punch at asking why another movie of this kind! AND, Buzz is back in this movie, talking about how his family left his brother Home Alone, twice. I won’t lie, this reminded me how much I enjoyed the first movie. That is the one that has a special place in my heart. Nevertheless, I will not shy away from a Home Alone marathon. And, if you are not into that, just go for the new version. You will not regret it.
Bottom line, the heart of the movie is family. From different perspectives, you will have plenty of angles to confirm and reconfirm that family is everything.
