No Exit Movie Talent Interview. Earlier this week we sat with the cast and director of the upcoming movie No Exit. This movie is based on the novel with the same name. The 20th Century Studios and Hulu thriller production I will premiere next February 25th on Hulu. Here are some of the questions the talent addressed during the press conference.

The thing that stuck to me the most from our exclusive interview is that the movie was filmed in New Zeland. And, the snow was all fake and they were really hot! Love it. But the talent did share lots more. Here is the list of talent we spoke to:

From Novel to Movie
Director Damien Power explains that: “As a novel, it had a great character-driven plot, it’s got high stakes, it’s got these surprising twists and turns this incredible, hostile setting, and, you know, this great ticking clock with the girl in the van. And all that was already in the script that I read. But yes, I can see why people read it and thought this would make a great movie. So did I.”
Adapting the Novel to Cinema
I asked what elements of the novel were cut out of the script that the director wished they had included. After all, most adaptations require some tweaking to get the story to the big screen, right? His answer was that the movie is very faithful to the book. “There was nothing that I wished I could have fit in. We made some tweaks to the characters, and their backstories, and their backgrounds, and how they came to be there. Which I think were good. So I don’t think there are any elements from the novel that I wish we had done”.
Lifting the Intense Mood
What did the cast do to together in between takes to brush off some of the intense thriller they were working on? Well, they played poker! Yes, bets were made and some owe other money. But, it was all in good fun and debts have been erased. All that playing did make them bond. And it come across clearly when Dennis Haysbert say: ““One thing I’ll add, is that of all of the movies I’ve done, it’s very rare when you find every single character, every single actor, that you absolutely adore.”
About No Exit
A college student, on her way home from visiting her mother, gets stuck with a group of people at a mountain rest stop during a blizzard. Things take a turn for the worse when the young woman discovers a kidnapped child in a car belonging to one of the people inside, putting the group in a terrifying life-or-death situation as they struggle to escape while trying to discover who among them is the kidnapper.
No Exit is directed by Damien Power and stars Danny Ramirez, Dennis Haysbert, Havana Rose Liu, Mila Harris, David Rysdahl, Dale Dickey, and Kirsty Hamilton.
