The Female Strength of Thor. Yes, we did see how Asgardian women are strong. The perfect example is Valkyrie. Now, we buckle up to see The Female Strength of Thor in the upcoming Marvel movie Thor: Love and Thunder in theaters everywhere on July 8th. Time to see what Thor has been up to after Avengers Endgame. This is what was shared in the recent press junket for the film, and I loved every minute of it!

The Female Strength of Thor
Undoubtedly, we get a lot of our favorite God of Thunder. Give me every chance to see Chris Hemsworth develop the role further. Nothing prepared us for him in xxx, and it was a joy to take in. Now, we are back to include Natalie Porter in the movie. Admittedly, I do not particularly care for her acting, and much less her side by side Thor, but alas, those are the powers that are. So, setting that aside, let’s focus on the The Female Strength of Thor. From the press junket we got a few good insights from Porter.
Becoming Mighty Thor
Yes, she was as suprised as I was when I found out. “I was especially grateful to everyone’s imagination to cast a five-three actress in a six-foot role,” she said during the global press junket for the film. “I think that takes a real leap of possibility in your mind.”
She also was in awe and had surreal moments that lead to her becoming Thor: “After seeing Chris (Hemsworth) wear the costume for so many years, to try the (Mighty Thor) version on myself, and getting fitted for all the arm cuffs and the boots and everything was pretty surreal for the first time.”
Exploring Her Role
While she is not the first MCU female superhero (Captain Marvel, The Wasp, Black Widow) we have seen on screen, Porter shared her vision for Mighty Thor:” a female
superhero that could be quite vulnerable and weak and find strength in that, and be more like a human I could relate
to personally.” She added that she has enormous respect for Tessa and Chris now that she knows about the intense and much work behind the scenes to become our favorite super heroes.
Thor vs. Mighty Thor
Porter shared that they are very different: “he’s obviously very assured and experienced in being a superhero, and she’s just trying to figure it out. She is new at it. And also keeps reverting to human form, so there’s kind of danger always that it might be her last moment getting to experience that.”
